You'll own the full loop: plan simple shoots, capture clean footage and audio, then edit it into high-performing content for Reels, Shorts, ads and occasional long-form. Most work is education-focused: student stories, faculty POVs, campus life, events and admissions campaigns.\n\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions: \n\nShooting and on-ground production: \nShoot talking-head videos, testimonials, classroom moments, campus life and event coverage.\nSet up basic lighting for indoor shoots (soft, flattering, consistent).\nCapture clean audio using lapel/shotgun mics and monitor levels during recording.\nCompose frames well (headroom, background, brand-safe locations, steady shots).\nManage footage workflow: backups, folder structure, file naming, and drive uploads.\n\nShort-form editing: \nEdit Reels/Shorts with strong hooks, tight pacing and clear story flow.\nAdd captions, on-screen text, b-roll and basic motion elements where needed.\nCreate multiple variants from the same footage (different openings, pacing, CTAs).\nDeliver platform-ready exports with correct aspect ratios and safe zones.\n\nAds and performance creatives: \nEdit direct-response videos for admissions.\nProduce iterations quickly based on performance feedback.\nMaintain a library of reusable elements: openers, lower-thirds, transitions, and end cards.\n\nLong-form and event edits: \nEdit webinars, podcasts, and event films into clean long-form videos.\nCreate highlight clips, chapters and social cut-downs from long content.\nEnsure audio consistency and viewing comfort across the full video.\n\nCollaboration and process: \nWork from briefs and scripts, propose improvements and close loops fast.\nCoordinate with content writers and brand teams for messaging and approvals.\nMaintain project files properly: source, project, exports, versions, thumbnails.\nTrack deadlines and output targets across weekly content plans.\n\nRequirements: \n3 years+ in shooting + editing (agency, creator, production house, education all good).\nStrong sense of framing, lighting basics and clean audio capture.\nEditing instincts for retention (especially the first 3 seconds and pacing).\nComfortable taking feedback and delivering changes quickly.\nOrganised file management habits (this matters a lot).\n\nTools: \nEditing: Final Cut preferred.\nMotion: After Effects basics (good to have).\nShooting: DSLR/Mirrorless or iPhone shoots, gimbal/handheld techniques.\nAudio: lapel mics, shotgun mic basics, boom.\nLighting: basic softbox/LED panel setup, natural light usage.\nExperience shooting in fast-moving environments (events, campus activations).\nColour correction basics and
