You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, proactively coordinating interpreter coverage, maintaining strong relationships with ASL professionals, and ensuring assignments are filled accurately and efficiently.\nWe're looking for someone who is fluent in American Sign Language, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about supporting effective communication and accessibility for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.\nProfessional interpreting experience or interpreter certification is not required for this position.\nWork Schedule\nMonday-Wednesday: 1:00 PM-10:00 PM\nSaturday-Sunday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM\nThis is a full-time, fully onsite position at our Bellevue office.\nAll times are Pacific Time. The schedule includes a one-hour unpaid meal period per shift and may be adjusted based on business needs.\nKey Responsibilities\nProactively contact qualified ASL interpreters to coordinate and confirm interpreting assignments.\n\nPrioritize urgent, same-day, next-day, and difficult-to-fill scheduling requests.\n\nBuild and maintain positive working relationships with ASL interpreters to support reliable assignment coverage.\n\nIdentify interpreter availability gaps and assist with recruiting new ASL interpreters and reconnecting with inactive professionals.\n\nVerify interpreter credentials, qualifications, availability, and assignment-specific requirements before confirming bookings.\n\nMaintain accurate scheduling records, assignment statuses, and interpreter information.\n\nResolve scheduling conflicts, interpreter cancellations, and last-minute coverage challenges.\n\nEncourage and support interpreter adoption of available self-scheduling tools.\n\nFollow applicable Washington ODHH and other contract-specific scheduling requirements using company-provided training and established procedures.\n\nCollaborate with internal teams to achieve scheduling and departmental performance goals.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n\nFluency in American Sign Language (ASL), with strong expressive and receptive communication skills.\n\nExperience in scheduling, dispatch, coordination, Deaf community services, or ASL-related coordination.\n\nProficiency with scheduling software, email, and Microsoft Office applications.\n\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.\n\nAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.\n\nPlease Note: Professional ASL interpreting experience and interpreter certification are not required. This is a scheduling and coordination position, not an interpreter position.\nCompensation & Incentives\nBase Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.\nAdditional Shift Differentials:\nEvening Differential: Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked after 5:00 PM.\n\nWeekend Differential: Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays.\n\nApplicable shift differentials may be combined.\nCommission & Performance Incentives:\nIn addition to competitive base pay, ASL Scheduling Coordinators are eligible for individual commissions on qualifying assignments:\nNew Interpreter Filled Assignment: $0.70 per qualifying assignment.\n\nNext-Day Filled Assignment: $1.00 per qualifying assignment.\n\nSame-Day Filled Assignment: $1.50 per qualifying assignment.\n\nAdditional interpreter development incentives and department performance-based bonuses are available, subject to eligibility requirements and the company's incentive compensation plan.\nBenefits:\nWe value our employees and are committed to supporting their health, well-being, financial security, and work-life balance.
