Our mission is to break down language barriers and create equitable access to information and services for all.\nWe are a collaborative innovative team committed to excellence - and we’re looking for motivated individuals who want to make an impact.\nPosition Summary\nReporting to the VP of Sales Operations Manager, the Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in generating new business opportunities for Universal Language Service. This position focuses on researching target industries, performing outbound outreach, qualifying leads, and passing opportunities to Sales Representatives for further engagement.\nThe BDR will help fuel the growth of our business by identifying organization that can benefit from our interpreting and translation services and ensuring they enter our sales funnel effectively.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, social outreach, and other channels to generate new leads.\nResearch organizations withing the language services industry ecosystem, including healthcare systems, clinics, government agencies, educational institutions, law firms, and corporate clients.\nQualify inbound and outbound leads based on defined criteria and route qualified opportunities to Sales Representatives.\nMaintain accurate and detailed records of all outreach activities, communications, and opportunities in the company CRM system.\nSet introductory meetings or discovery calls between prospects and the appropriate sales team member.\nCollaborate closely with the VP of Sales/Sales Operations Manager to align outreach efforts with company goals, campaigns, and target markets.\nStay informed about Universal Language Service’s offerings, pricing models, and value propositions to effectively communicate benefits to prospects.\nTrack daily, weekly, and monthly activity metrics to ensure goals are being met.\nSupport marketing and sales initiatives, such as event outreach, email campaigns, and industry research projects.\nPerform additional duties assigned to support the overall sales process.\nRequired Qualifications\n0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or a related field.\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal.\nComfort working in virtual and phone-driven communication environments.\nFamiliarity with CRM software (Salesforce, or similar).\nStrong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.\nAbility to learn quickly and apply new concepts in a fast-moving environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in or familiarity with the language services industry, healthcare services, government contracting, or professional service environments.\nBachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, communications, or a related field.\nDemonstrated ability to understand business needs and identify opportunities for value.\nHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and follow-through.\nTeam-oriented mindset with a strong desire to contribute to organizational growth.\nPay and Compensation\nBase Pay: $20-$27/hourly\nVariable Compensation Overview\nThe BDR is eligible for variable compensation based on performance in three areas:\nAttended Appointment - Tier PayoutsLow Volume: $10\nPhysician Clinics / Networks: $25\nHospitals - under 200 beds: $75\nFQHC / CHC / 1-4 Hospital Systems: $150\n5+ Hospital Systems: $200\nNationwide Health Systems: $300\n\nBooked Appointment Attendance Bonus$100 monthly bonus if Booked Appointments have 100% attendance rate\n\nBenefits:\nWe value our employees and are committed to supporting their health, well-being, financial security, and work-life balance.
