This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance practices while leading technicians, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting operational uptime across logistics and transportation services.\nKey Responsibilities\nOperations & Maintenance\nManage day-to-day shop operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and breakdown response\nEnsure fleet and equipment readiness to support transportation, warehousing, and logistics operations\nSchedule and prioritize work orders to minimize downtime and maximize asset utilization\nOversee inventory levels, parts procurement, and vendor relationships\nLeadership & People Management\nLead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and support staff\nAssign work, monitor productivity, and enforce performance standards\nSupport hiring, onboarding, training, and disciplinary actions as needed\nPromote a positive, safety-focused, and accountable work culture\nSafety & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, EPA, and company safety standards\nConduct and document inspections, audits, and maintenance records\nEnforce safety protocols, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards\nLead incident investigations and corrective action implementation\nFinancial & Administrative Management\nManage shop budgets, labor costs, overtime, and maintenance spend\nTrack KPIs such as cost per mile/hour, productivity, and equipment availability\nPrepare reports related to maintenance performance and compliance\nApprove invoices, timecards, and maintenance documentation\nContinuous Improvement & Coordination\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings\nCollaborate with Operations, Dispatch, Safety, and Corporate Maintenance teams\nSupport company initiatives, new equipment rollouts, and system implementations\nQualifications\nRequired\n5+ years of experience in fleet, transportation, or industrial maintenance\n2+ years in a supervisory or management role\nStrong knowledge of diesel equipment, trailers, material handling equipment, or related assets\nWorking knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations\nProficiency with
