We may be the right place for you, so get in touch!\nWhat You’ll Accomplish:\nLead the testing of integrated electronic circuits and/or subsystems as a primary duty. \nDesign, build and test electronics solution using your skills of analogue, and digital circuit design together with industry standard CAD packages and test equipment. \nWrite the documentation of the electronics circuits and verification tests. \nDevelop your experience in a broad range of electronics engineering subject areas. \nMaintain the multidisciplinary collaboration with mechanical engineers, software engineers, physicists, working towards a common goal. \nPlay a key role in building test systems for quantum computers. \nMaintain UQs’ position of using state of the art electronics solutions. \nHelp in the planning and scheduling of projects, reporting progress and issues. \nEngage with project planning activities, risk management, and scheduling requirements. \nHelp with fast turn-around proof of concepts and feasibility discussions. \nDevelop a thorough understanding of the firmware and software used to control quantum computers. \nRequirements\nThe 3 Most Critical Attributes We’ll Use to Compare Candidate.\nElectronics and/or Verification experience. \nHands-on experience in working on complex systems from concept through delivery. \nPCB schematic and layout using CAD tools, good manufacturing process knowledge and excellent verification/debug skills using electronics test equipment. \nMust-have Skills:\nMinimum 10 years of practical/hands-on experience in electronics design. \nExperience developing and executing test plans and approaches on complex systems. \nAnalogue design experience. \nPCB design experience. \nExperience with low noise design approaches and techniques. \nExperience of working with suppliers and contractors. \nDemonstrate a strong discipline for thorough documentation. \nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, a team player. \nAt least 2.1 BEng/BSc Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline. \nNice-to-have Skills:\nA background in one of the following: System engineering, Research, Metrology, or instrumentation. \nUnderstanding of signal integrity, high-speed digital, and EMC. \nExperience with C and/or scripting languages e.g., Python\nPragmatic approach to decision-making and design choices. \nTeam and/or project management experience. \nPlease feel encouraged to apply even if you don't match all the requirements of our job description.
