We may be the right place for you, so get in touch!\nWhat You’ll Accomplish:\nDesign and build advanced test rigs for electrical and mechanical characterization of quantum microfabricated devices (trap chip)\nDevelop meticulous test plans and protocols for validating chip performance \nConduct experimental validation and characterization of electronics systems to meet stringent performance requirements for quantum hardware \nCollaborate with chip designers and electronics engineers to improve test coverage and ensure compatibility with emerging quantum chip architectures \nCritically evaluate testing methodologies and propose improvements for efficiency and accuracy \nDocument test procedures, results, and findings for reproducibility and knowledge sharing \nRequirements\nThe 3 Most Critical Attributes We’ll Use to Compare Candidates\nStrong electronics engineering capabilities for device/chip testing \nElectromechanical engineering knowledge to create precision test rigs \nExcellent communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure testing needs are met and improved \nMust-have Skills\nPCB layout and schematic design using ECAD tools (e.g., Altium) \nStrong technical writing and documentation skills \nFamiliarity with test/electronics equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analysers, TDR, oscilloscopes) \nExperience measuring high-frequency electrical signals and ensuring signal integrity \nKnowledge of embedded systems and FPGA-based control for automated testing \nMaster/BSc Degree in electronics engineering or a related discipline\nNice-to-have Skills\nExperience cryogenic temperatures and testing sensitive quantum devices \nMechanical CAD proficiency for fixture and rig design\nBackground in RF engineering, metrology, or instrumentation \nExperience developing automated testing frameworks using scripting languages (Python, MATLAB) \nUnderstanding EMC and high-speed digital design constraints in quantum
