We may be the right place for you so get in touch!\nWhat You’ll Accomplish\nDesign, build and test thermal control systems for ion trap quantum devices. \nDesign, build and test electronic enclosure assemblies for ion trap quantum devices. \nIntegrate mechanical designs with laser systems and electronics designs. \nWork with a multidisciplinary and experienced team of Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Physicists and Quantum Engineers. \nHelp in the planning and scheduling of projects, reporting progress and issues. \nEngage with project planning activities, risk management and scheduling requirements. \nRequirements\nThe 3 Most Critical Attributes We’ll Use to Compare Candidates:\nExperience in the design and build of thermal management systems. \nExperience in the design and build of electronic enclosure assemblies. \nExperience in developing complex models to simulate thermal management systems. \nMust-have Skills:\nMinimum 5 years of professional work experience in a competitive engineering environment. \nSignificant experience in the design of mechanical systems including thermal management systems and electronic enclosure assemblies. \nProficient in 2D & 3D CAD for mechanical and structural design, including detailed part and assembly drawings. \nExperience using CAE tools for thermal and mechanical FEA, including stress/strain analysis. \nExperience in thermal/mechanical testing and methods \nUnderstanding of material science and the limitations it imposes on vacuum and thermal systems. \nExperience of working with and managing suppliers and contractors \nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; a strong team player. \nAn undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. \nNice-to-have Skills:\nExperience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) techniques \nExperience in the design and build of vacuum systems \nExperience in the design and build of cryogenic systems \nExperience in vibrational/resonance modelling \nExperience in optomechanical design \nExperience in fatigue and creep analysis \nExperience of using SolidWorks and Ansys \nPlease feel encouraged to apply even if you don't match all the requirements of our job description.
