We may be the right place for you so get in touch!\nWhat You’ll Accomplish:\nJoin our talented and enthusiastic team of scientists and engineers in designing our next generation of development environment \nTake ownership of key components in our algorithm development pipeline, and work closely with the quantum algorithm team to streamline and optimise their workflows \nWrite reliable, well-documented, and high-quality software \nBuild intuitive and user-friendly software tools and libraries to be used by internal and external developer teams \nSupport testing, validation and deployment of various models and simulations to UQ’s HPC and/or cloud servers \nDevelop a deep understanding of the trade-offs associated with design choices across UQ’s quantum algorithms, compilation stack and hardware processes \nRequirements\nThe 3 Most Critical Attributes We'll Use to Compare Candidates\nSolid programming experience in languages such as C/C++, Rust, Python across the software stack and targeting multiple platforms \nExperience in designing, developing, debugging, testing, maintaining, and profiling commercial-quality software \nCollaborative team player with good communication skills \nMust-have Skills\n5+ years of experience in delivering commercial-quality software from hardware to end-user interfaces \nExperience with custom SDKs and developer tooling with great user experience in mind \nPolyglot with extensive experience in Python and at least one of C/C++, or Rust \nWriting readable, dependable, efficient, and well-documented code \nPragmatic approach to decision making and design choices \nPrevious experience in start-ups or fast-paced dynamic work environments \nNice-to-have Skills\nExperience with quantum computing, Qiskit, OpenQASM \nExperience with HPC, acceleration, and parallelization \nExperience of working with cloud platforms such as Azure/GCP/AWS \nExperience with web services or UI frameworks\nBachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, electronic engineering, or a related discipline \nPlease feel encouraged to apply even if you don't match all the requirements of our job description.
