The Data Coordinator’s primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and quality of clinical patient data integrated into project databases at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre from datasets generated at Princess Margaret and other Canadian institutions.\nIn the Geoffrey Liu Lab, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, statisticians, epidemiologists, research coordinators, and trainees who use real-world observational data to inform health policy and improve clinical practice.\nDuties\nBuilding and maintaining databases, primarily in REDCap. This includes database design, maintaining data dictionaries, data cleaning and quality control, generating data queries, coordinating ongoing data collection, and creating datasets for reporting and analysis.\nDeveloping pipelines to harmonize and merge multiple existing databases into REDCap and performing data quality assessments.\nLiaising with study coordinators and collaborators to manage data access, facilitate data entry, and ensure data quality.\nAssisting with the development of statistical analysis plans and consulting with project statisticians on study feasibility and potential challenges.\nAttending regular meetings with the data abstraction team.\n At minimum, completion of a 3-year community college program in Science, Health or related or recognized equivalent requiredA university degree is preferred\n\nAt minimum over 1 year of practical and related experience requiredExperience in health data management, health information management, or a related field required \n\nExperience using R or Python for data analysis and data quality assessment is required.\nFamiliarity with REDCap or Microsoft Access is considered an asset.\nContent expertise in lung cancer is a definite asset\nExperience in medical or clinical research is an asset.\nStrong critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.\nAbility to work independently as well as in a diverse team environment.\n Why join UHN?\nIn addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs and perks.
