The data and reagents generated are placed in the public domain without patent restriction.\nThe pipeline is tracked end to end by an in-house Laboratory Information Management System (PHP, Python, PostgreSQL), developed and maintained by our senior database developer. As additional partner sites join the consortium, the work of integrating each site - mapping its records to the LIMS schema, migrating its legacy data and supporting its users - has grown beyond the capacity of a single position.\nThe Data Science Analyst (Data Integration) will support the senior database developer, with primary responsibility for site onboarding and cross-site data integration. This is a full-time, one-year contract position reporting to the Principal Investigator.\nDuties\nOnboard new contributing sites: map existing records to the LIMS schema, migrate legacy data, and verify data integrity following transfer\nDevelop and execute data loading procedures, including bulk imports, format conversions and scheduled transfers\nReconcile database identifiers and controlled vocabularies between incoming data and the LIMS, referring structural conflicts to the senior database developer\nMonitor automated data feeds and resolve failures\nProvide support and training to partner-site users, and maintain user documentation\n At minimum, Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, required\nAt least one (1) year of practical and related experience, required \nWorking proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL preferred), Python and PHP for data transformation\nFamiliarity with CSV/Excel, JSON, REST APIs and scheduled file transfer, required \nDemonstrated attention to data integrity, including systematic verification of completed data transfers\nAbility to communicate effectively with non-technical users across multiple time zones\nAvailability for approximately three to five international trips over the contract term, of three to five days each, to partner sites in Germany, Brazil, the United Kingdom, India and Australia; a valid passport and eligibility to obtain the applicable entry authorizations are required\nExperience with scientific or laboratory data systems (LIMS, ELN, instrument software, research databases)\nFamiliarity with early-stage drug discovery data, including compounds, assays and structures\nThe position is well suited to a candidate in the early stages of their career.
