The successful candidate will work closely with the FM-PRO Leadership, UHN Executive Project Sponsors and Staff to understand and plan for key capital project initiatives as prioritized by the organization.\nDuties:\nAssist to drive the planning phase of construction/renovation projects, including functional programming, development and approval of project scope, schedules, and budgets. \nDevelop and implement strategies to manage user group planning processes effectively. \nPrepare presentations, reports, and meeting minutes to effectively communicate project scope, schedule, risks, and challenges. \nPerform financial management activities, including project budgeting, cost tracking, and cash flow forecasting. \nPrepare, review, and maintain project documentation, including contracts. \nAssist in hiring and supervising consultants, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with consultants. \nReview and perform quality control of documents submitted by consultants. \nDevelop and implement strategies for risk mitigation and resolution throughout the planning phase. \nCompile and archive project documentation at the end of the planning phase, including documentation of lessons learned. \nCollaborate with the FM-PRO Redevelopment team to ensure smooth handover from planning to implementation. \nPerform administrative tasks to provide day-to-day project management support and coordination for project meetings and initiatives, to ensure efficient user engagement and departmental operations. \nExecute cross-functional responsibilities as assigned. \nUndertake other duties consistent with the role as required. \nAfter hours/weekend work may occasionally be required as part of the role. Lieu time can be pre-approved to cover this need when required\n Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Architecture, Engineering, Design Technology, or an equivalent recognized discipline. \nMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in architectural, engineering, or project management within the health or public sector. \nExperience in coordinating and facilitating multi-stakeholder meetings, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, presentation materials, and meeting minutes. \nStrong computer literacy and proficiency in project management tools. \nKnowledge of building codes and standards applicable to acute healthcare environments (asset). \nFamiliarity with OAA and CCDC contract frameworks (asset). \nPMP certification (asset). \nExperience with Ministry of Health (MOH) Capital Planning processes (asset).\nExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills. \nStrong time management and organizational abilities, including task prioritization. \nAdvanced problem-solving and analytical skills. \nExceptional verbal and written communication skills. \nAbility to produce high-quality presentations, reports and meet strict deadlines. \n Why join UHN?\nIn addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs and perks.
