This position is responsible for assisting the Technical Director in the production and technical operations of the Collins Center for the Arts, including lighting, sound, video, sets and rigging, overseeing staff and coordinating necessary safety and maintenance. Their primary responsibility will be as the Head Audio Engineer and will oversee all audio needs for the Collins Center. Typical hiring range for this 10 month, August 1st - May 31st work year position is $43,000 to $48,784 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Generally has the education associated with a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Additional relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational skills, tact and excellent communications skills.
  • The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to lift, push or pull objects up to 100 pounds using appropriate tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Preferred:

  • Experience training, teaching and supervising college-age students with varying degrees of technical theater experience.
