This work will be in collaboration with state and regional partners, including administrators, principal investigators, study coordinators, research staff, and data collection staff. This role is responsible for the design, planning, development, support and integration of all elements of comprehensive data warehouse, business intelligence and reporting platforms. This position will ensure that data warehouse performance is efficient and effective in support of the organization’s ongoing reporting and analytics requirements. Key elements to the success of this position include: planning and delivering new data integration and reporting functionality; working with stakeholders to gather specifications, documenting specifications based upon discrete use cases and developing new features in accordance with those specifications; testing and debugging new functionality based upon operational requirements; and, monitoring data flows between databases, servers and/or Cloud services to identify and implement the most suitable integration. Under the direction of the Data Applications and Systems Manager, the Database and Software Developer additional responsibilities will include ongoing evaluation, monitoring, coordination, and implementation of data management and database development tools and SharePoint sites.\nKey Responsibilities:\nThe duties of the Database and Software Developer will include but are not limited to:\nApplication and Tool Development and Customer Support (40% FTE)\nLeverage a variety of programming languages and tools to design solutions to meet emergent system business needs with primary toolset being the Microsoft Power Platform.\nDesign and build custom business applications using Microsoft Power Platform tools.\nDevelop tools for data collection processes.\nDesign testing scenarios and debug new applications\nDevelop and deliver training for computer applications.\nProvide customer support for applications through the ticketing system.\nReporting and Documentation (20% FTE)\nComplex report generation\nGenerate data dashboards, reports and analysis using Power BI\nOversee report generation both on-going and ad hoc reporting.\nAccess and integrate data from various data systems.\nThorough documentation of systems, including changes and business rules.\nDatabase Development and Maintenance (15% FTE)\nDesign and build new SQL/Postgres databases and maintain existing databases.\nOversight and management of datasets for research projects\nDevelopment of data storage and data protocols for research projects\nMonitor data quality and ensure data integrity.\nProject Management (10% FTE)\nResponsible for hands-on project management of various Quality Recognition and Professional Development team projects to define project scope by articulating stakeholders’ needs, formulating strategies, and developing proposals, including timelines and deliverables, and successful delivery of projects to stakeholders.\nTrack project requirements and ensure requirements are clear.\nCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation.\nOther related duties as assigned.\nStakeholder Engagement and Systems (FTE 10%)\nRepresent Cultivate Learning and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and partners.\nAttending conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.\nDevelop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs in collaboration with partners.\nSpeak to diverse audiences in a language and manner that connects with their interests while explaining in clear terms Cultivate Learning’s work and mission.\nDevelop a broad understanding of all Cultivate Learning and Early Achievers program data systems and guide the program and staff in streamlining systems.\nSharePoint Development and Maintenance (5% FTE)\nDesign, build, and maintain SharePoint Sites and Pages to meet team business needs.\nDevelop and manage SharePoint permission schema.\nRequired Qualifications\nTo be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and additional qualifications listed below.
