Become part of our team and join our mission to make life healthier for everyone in our community!\nPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nUnder the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PT Technician cleans and maintains department equipment, assists in preparing patients for therapy, assists all physical therapists in maintaining a smooth flow of patient care, and performs other support tasks as assigned.\nPrepares, maintains, and cleans treatment areas and equipment includes but is not limited to:\nMaintains a clean and organized working environment.\nEmpties trash and dirty linen.\nMakes sure treatment areas are properly stocked with supplies.\nFollows established procedures for care and cleaning of equipment. Assists therapists with patient treatment includes but is not limited to:\nTransports patients to physical therapy/pool for treatment.\nAssists patients as necessary prior, during and at the conclusion of treatment.\nAssists patient in the safe practice of activities related to the development of strength and endurance.\nPerforms treatment procedures predetermined for each patient by the physical therapist and under the direct supervision of that therapist.\nAssists therapists with gait, balance, transfer training of difficult and/or heavy care patients.
