This position supports the Ambulatory Care Division and across the UW Medicine enterprise, and aligns with UW Medicine’s Patient Are First Pillar Goals: serving patients and families, providing the highest quality care, becoming the employer of choice, and practicing fiscal responsibility.\nPOSITION HIGHLIGHTS\nProvide technical and operational subject matter expertise, training, technical support, and operational alignment within the ambulatory network and across UW Medicine. This position will lead some groups, meetings, technical projects, Ops Essentials training, and activities including the Mission Forward clinic operations activities and ongoing front office operations meetings.\nPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nImplement industry best practices in IT operations, ensuring adherence to standards for efficiency, security, and reliability\nDevelop and refine ambulatory operations policies to align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements\nProvide comprehensive application support for EpicCare utilized in ambulatory clinics, assisting users in troubleshooting and optimizing system usage\nProactively identify technical and workflow barriers, collaborating with stakeholders to address and resolve issues\nDeliver effective training on Epic and other business software to both new and existing UWMC staff through various formats including in person in conference or computer classrooms, online, or at the elbow in a clinic\nDevelop and update end-user training materials to support ongoing learning and proficiency\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s Degree in computer science, business, education, healthcare, or a related field AND at least two (2) years of experience working in an acute or ambulatory care setting\nMinimum one year of experience in either technical computer training or end-user application development or support\nStrong understanding and experience in IT/computer/application support and analysis\nEquivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.\nABOUT UW MEDICINE - WHERE YOUR IMPACT GOES FURTHER\nUW Medicine is Washington’s only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
