Job Summary:

The Pan laboratory is recruiting a highly motivated scientist with an interest in epigenetic regulations of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). The vision for our research program is to apply a multidisciplinary approach and advance our innovative research program for understanding, and ultimately manipulating, HSC development, HSC cell fate and malignant transformation in hematopoiesis. This research will support our long-term goal to advance fundamental knowledge and provide a foundation for novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for hematological cancers and other hematopoietic disorders.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the identification of research problems and the development of research methodologies and procedures
  • Attends and assists with the facilitation of scholarly events and presentations in support of continued professional development and the dissemination of research information
  • Collects and analyzes research data, conducts experiments and interviews, and documents results according to established policies and procedures under general supervision and limited responsibility
  • Serves as a main point of contact and liaison with internal and external stakeholders providing information and representing the interests of a specialized research area
  • Writes or assists in developing grant applications and proposals to secure research funding
  • Conducts literature reviews, prepares reports and materials, and disseminates information to appropriate entities

Minimum $55,000/yr

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of postdoctoral experience with a track record of first author peer reviewed publications.

Candidates must possess excellent organization skills and be capable of individual initiative and of interacting as part of team. Strong English speaking and writing skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with extensive practical experience in molecular and cellular biology, and immunology with technique expertise in flow cytometry, mouse biology, bioinformatics and machine learning are encouraged to apply.

Education:

PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree.
