Software Engineering position with the CCOM ASV team which will support the development, maintenance and deployment of infrastructure to support Autonomous Surface Vehicle operations. This individual will be responsible for the continued development of projects like the open source marine annotated imagery project, and must have a strong understanding of core machine learning concepts as well as experience training testing and validating machine learning models across a variety of platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• (40%) Dataset Development & Curation
• (20%) Annotation Supervision
• (25%) Software Development for Research Tools
• (15%) Field Deployment Support

Requirements:

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

• Masters in Computer Science / Engineering or related degree field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in Python for data processing, cleaning, and validation scripting
• Experience with Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative repository management
• Familiarity with data formats and tooling(e.g., JSON, CSV, pandas, annotation platforms like Label Studio or Prodigy)
• Clear technical writing for documentation, reports, or publications
• Attention to detail and consistency across large datasets

Compensation Pay Range:

$33.00/hour
