Work with local Quality Managers, Process Metallurgists, Operations Management and employees to improve the product quality through standard practices, process control and understanding customer requirements. Provides technical assistance and quality support to the Quality and Operations management group for all Universal Facilites.This position will report to the Corporate Director Quality Assurance.\nJob Duties\nPosition requires solid Quality System Management skills and abilities to provide technical advice and direction to the organization.\nFollows all Safety policies and procedures. \nEnsures that technical standards and work instructions are followed to ensure product quality requirements are implemented and followed. \nLead customer and regulatory audits, including AS9100 and Nadcap HT and MTL, at all facilities.\nMust be trustworthy in all areas of profession and personal performance. \nRegular interface with local General Managers, Quality Managers, Operations, and technical groups. \nFacilitate APQP activities - FMEA, Control Plans, etc. \nPerform internal and external audits on a regularly scheduled basis. \nParticipate in root cause and corrective action sessions to ensure effective completion. \nReview and provide direction to augment local Level II Quality Assurance procedures. \nDevelop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving. \nRemain flexible with daily activities to handle any emergency issues as they arrive. \nTravel as necessary to all USAP locations and suppliers. \nProvide support as deemed necessary to allow the Quality assurance department to function properly. \nReport all witness incidents involving injuries, pills, fires, property damage, and near misses to appropriate Management. \nPerform other related work, as required. \nQualifications and Education\nMinimum experience level is 5 plus years in a metal manufacturing or processing environment. Metallurgical or materials science background in preferred.\nPreferred Skills: Good, solid foundation of technical knowledge, skills, and abilities. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in written form. Ability to manipulate and analyze data and make critical decisions. Aerospace Quality Standard and/or Nadcap experience.
