The position is responsible for maintenance and outage planning functions to ensure that the maintenance effort attains the highest practical levels of efficiency, productivity and quality. This includes providing maintenance solutions and project coordination.\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nDevelop and execute short and long term Predictive (PdM) & Preventive (PM) maintenance programs for mechanical and electrical equipment, instrumentation and controls to ensure equipment reliability, environmental and regulatory compliance.\nEstablish and maintain plant records for plant equipment maintenance.\nCoordinate maintenance activities between the Operations and Maintenance Departments.\nPlan and coordinate on-site maintenance activities to address operational maintenance concerns reliability and availability. Develop complete work plans for repairs, modifications, preventive maintenance and overhauls.\nPlan projects and activities by establishing correct benchmark times based upon work content analysis. \nProvide support as needed to Maintenance and Operations Departments on emergency and urgent work.\nSchedule and attend meetings with plant supervision to refine schedules and make arrangements to accomplish the planned work.\nUpdate supporting data and documents to maintain compliance.\nSpecify, solicit and evaluate equipment and services from vendors for engineering and maintenance products and services for technical content and economic value.\nEnsure compliance with Company environmental and safety policies as well as Federal, State and Local safety and environmental laws and regulations.\nPromote productivity and teamwork in assigned area with open communication and timely decision making.\nEnsure all Company resources are utilized in a cost-effective manner, estimate resource requirements, monitor expenditures, and report on performance of assigned area.\nCoordinate maintenance work plans with the Operations with respect to LOTO, Confined Space and Hot Work Permits as necessary for job execution.\nCoordinate weekly planning meetings with Operations and Maintenance Departments.\nMaintain a maintenance backlog tracking summary\nWorking Conditions:\nSteel Mill or Manufacturing environment\nMinimum Requirements: \nAssociate degree in industrial technology or an engineering discipline with five (5) years’ work-related field experienceor High school diploma and ten (10) years’ work-related experience in a manufacturing setting.
