Dedication and determination as a member of the Unlimit Ventures team results in the opportunity to accelerate your career within the new ventures being launched and experience developing many different products you will be proud of for years to come.\nJob Type: Contract-to-Hire\nValues\nPrudent optimism …glass-half-full, with a dose of caution to challenge our assumptions.\nIntrinsic motivation …driven by autonomy, goal clarity and regular feedback.\nCommit to desired outcomes …define desired outcomes and achieve them vigorously.\nNo egos, no jerks …no joke.\nResponsibilities\nServe as technical advisor on multiple concurrent development programs and provide mentorship to other engineers.\nDefine priorities, identify technical risk and guide diverse technical teams in the execution of electronics and embedded systems development.\nDevelop electronics architectures from board to system level for sophisticated electrical-mechanical systems.\nEnsure diverse engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, software, quality, regulatory) are aligned and operating towards clear product requirements.\nDesign electrical systems that meet use-case, technical, operational, manufacturing, cost and schedule requirements.\nReview and guide key component selection including sensors, actuators, controllers.\nDevelop test plans and lead hardware integration, testing, debug and validation.\nExecute mixed/analog, power electronics, and digital circuit design and layout of printed circuit boards.\nFacilitate board bring-up, test, and debug of newly designed electrical hardware.\nDevelop electrical system budgets including estimating labor, material, and any other relevant costs.\nParticipate in design reviews and design FMEA analysis.\nBasic Qualifications\nDegree in Electrical Engineering and/or other relevant educational background.\n12+ years of applied experience successfully developing electrical and embedded systems.\nIn-depth hardware design experience with both system-level and component-level development.\nExperience with PLCs/microcontrollers; programming, architecture, debugging.\nExperience designing custom PCB’s (in Altium or equivalent) and preparing schematics for manufacturing.\nExperience designing automotive grade power & communication wire harnesses.\nDemonstrated ability to foresee and identify technical risk, and engineering mindset of addressing risks early.\nDemonstrated experience with troubleshooting of sophisticated systems including circuit issues, EMI/EMC/ESD mitigation.\nExperience managing projects, mentoring other engineers, and interfacing with technical customers.\nExcellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills to levels above, below and in-line.\nPreferred Skills & Experience\nDemonstrated full-cycle experience (early stage ideation, to production, to post launch development) of multiple hardware products.\nExperience successfully launching products in one or more of the following industries: industrial robotics & automation, clean/renewable technologies, health & wellness technologies.\nRecognized thought leadership and continuous improvement as demonstrated by trade association activity, completed training programs and/or other distinctions.\nUnlimit Ventures is a venture studio that formulates, de-risks and launches new companies.
