This is an embedded role.\n\nYou will partner with product and engineering to own the quality practice for the team, not to run manual testing for others. As the team shifts quality testing closer to the code, you will help move end-to-end test suites into the application repositories, keep them healthy over time, and help engineers understand what to test and how to test it. You will be expected to become an expert in the applications and to think across whole features, not just individual pull requests.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nPartner with product managers and engineers to define test strategy and plans for features, thinking holistically across all the work that makes up a feature\n\nMaintain and extend the Playwright end-to-end test suites as they move into the application code repositories\n\nBuild and maintain smoke test suites that act as quality gates in CI/CD pipelines\n\nFix test breakage caused by changes such as browser updates or locator changes\n\nHelp engineers understand what to test and how to test it, and coach the team on good testing practices\n\nHelp grow unit and integration test coverage so the team has faster, less expensive tests\n\nAnswer questions about how features are supposed to work, drawing on your product and application knowledge\n\nFind bugs, and where possible help fix them\n\nExplore AI-assisted approaches to improve the testing practice\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nSenior level experience in quality engineering or test automation, with strong hands-on coding skills\n\nStrong experience with Playwright and TypeScript for end-to-end automation\n\nExperience testing modern web applications, ideally built with React or Next.js\n\nExperience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android\n\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions\n\nAbility to design test strategy across a full feature and explain it clearly to engineers and product partners\n\nStrong communication skills and comfort working as part of an agile team\n\nOwnership mindset and willingness to teach others\n\nNice to Have\n\nExperience with API and integration testing\n\nExperience with unit testing practices and frameworks\n\nExperience with K6 for performance testing\n\nExperience with accessibility testing tools such as Evinced\n\nExperience using AI-assisted tools to improve testing workflows\n\nExperience with synthetic monitoring or alerting on critical user journeys (e.g., New Relic)\n\nInterview Process\n\nUp to two interviews: a technical
