We work with enterprise and upper-mid-market organisations, building the digital foundations and experiences they need to perform, and we put business outcomes first.\nWe have recently added research, insight and brand strategy to the group through the acquisitions of 2CV, a consumer insight and market research consultancy, and The Value Engineers, a brand strategy and innovation consultancy.\nIn this role you will own the day-to-day finance work for our group businesses DTAG, 2CV and TVE, reporting into the CFO.\nWhat the role is for\nFor DTAG, 2CV and TVE, you will run the monthly close and management accounts, the weekly cashflow and the working capital cycle, and play a key part in the audits for our UK, US and Singapore entities. The role covers receivables (including work in progress) and payables, VAT and GST, and the reporting and compliance deadlines that come with them.\nWhat you will own\nFive outcomes sit with you:\nMonthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and net revenue, are accurate and on time, with variance commentary, ad hoc analysis, and budgeting and forecasting support for the CFO and budget holders.\nMonth-end and year-end close run smoothly: journals are posted, the balance sheet and key accounts are reconciled, and documentation and audit trails are kept.\nInternal controls and financial policies are followed, VAT and GST returns and other external deadlines are met, and you play a key part in the audits for the UK, US and Singapore entities, making sure the auditors have what they need when they need it.\nA weekly cashflow is prepared, accounts receivable (including work in progress) and accounts payable are well managed, and you deal directly with client AR teams and suppliers.\nYou will support in finding and delivering process and cost improvements.\nWhat success looks like\nFinancial reports are accurate at 98% or above.\nMonth-end close is complete within five working days.\nReporting and compliance deadlines are met every time.\nThe weekly cashflow is delivered every week.\nAudit requests for each entity are met to the agreed timetable.\nRoughly one process or cost improvement is delivered each quarter.\nColleagues across finance and the wider business find you easy to work with, as shown in 360 feedback.\nWhat a month looks like\nPosting month-end journals, accruals and prepayments, and reconciling the balance sheet and key accounts.\nPreparing net revenue reporting, management accounts, variance analysis and commentary.\nPreparing the weekly cashflow and reconciling bank and credit card accounts regularly\nRaising sales invoices and processing purchase invoices, and running accounts payable and accounts receivable, including chasing client AR teams and answering supplier queries. Preparing VAT and GST returns.\nWorking with the auditors on the UK, US and Singapore audits.\nUpdating financial models when asked.\nAnswering financial queries from colleagues, and keeping financial systems and records in order.\nManaging renewals with a focus on efficiency.\nAbout you\nYou are an experienced finance professional who has already done most of this work.\nEssential:\nExperience of management accounts and month-end close, including accruals, prepayments and net revenue.\nExperience of preparing VAT and GST returns.\nExperience of supporting financial audits, including outside the UK.\nExperience of accounts payable and accounts receivable, and of preparing a weekly cashflow.\nProficiency in Excel and in an accounting system.\nThe ability to explain a variance in plain English to colleagues outside finance.\nDiscretion: you will handle confidential financial information.\nDesirable:\nQualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent.\nExperience in an agency or professional services business, particularly work in progress, billing and net revenue.\nExperience of supporting a CFO in a multi-entity business.\nAdditional information\n**Please note that whilst this role is predominately remote we have a lovely office space in central London with a large team presence, so there will be an expectation that the successful applicant will be happy to attend the office on a regular basis.\nExpect some work outside normal hours during month-end, year-end and audit
