With several of our products already approved by the Defense Innovation Unit, we’re solving procurement issues for customers who demand speed, agility, and compliance.\nIf you love working at the intersection of community, content, and cutting-edge technology, you’ll feel right at home here.\nYou in This Role\nAs the Safety & Security Officer, you will be responsible for supporting workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and physical security across our manufacturing facilities. This is a hands-on role focused on creating a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, contractors, facilities, and company assets.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience in workplace safety and physical security, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will maintain a visible presence throughout our facilities, proactively identify potential risks, ensure employees and facilities are prepared for emergencies, and help build a strong culture of safety across the organization.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDevelop, implement, and maintain company safety and security policies, procedures, and programs.\nConduct regular facility walkthroughs and safety and security inspections to identify hazards, risks, and areas requiring corrective action.\nCoordinate emergency preparedness and response programs, including evacuation procedures, fire prevention, severe weather, emergency drills, and other response protocols.\nRegularly inspect and maintain first aid kits, AEDs, and other emergency and safety equipment to ensure they are operational, accessible, properly stocked, and up to date.\nEstablish and maintain a network of First Aid Captains across facilities and shifts and coordinate CPR, First Aid, and AED training and certifications.\nDevelop and deliver safety orientations and employee training covering PPE, emergency procedures, workplace safety, and security protocols.\nPartner with HR, Facilities, and Production to investigate workplace incidents and accidents, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.\nMaintain appropriate records related to safety inspections, incidents, training, certifications, emergency drills, and corrective actions.\nMonitor CCTV cameras and review or extract video when required for authorized security or incident investigations.\nFollow established protocols for security breaches and emergency situations and coordinate with police, fire, ambulance, and other emergency services as needed.\nAssist with the de-escalation of tense or potentially volatile situations and help ensure the safety of employees and others.\nSupport compliance with applicable OSHA requirements, safe working procedures, and company SOPs.\nBuild strong relationships with employees and leaders and promote a proactive culture of safety and security throughout the organization.\nWhat You’ll Bring\n3-5 years of experience in workplace safety, physical security, security operations, law enforcement, military service, or a related field.\nManufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience strongly preferred.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or a related field preferred.\nKnowledge of workplace safety practices, OSHA standards, emergency response, physical security, access control, and surveillance systems.\nExperience conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, security assessments, or risk assessments.\nAbility to effectively train employees on workplace safety and emergency procedures.\nStrong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.\nOSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months of hire.\nCPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred or ability to obtain after hire.
