You'll sit within our engineering team, scale our security program, and protect the data our customers trust us with.\nSpecifically, you will:\nScale Unwrap’s security program. Set the roadmap, prioritize by real risk, and report on risk directly to leadership.\n\nBuild systems that continuously improve our security systems as the industry and technology evolve.\n\nBe the voice of security risk. Take and defend clear positions on product, architecture, and vendor risk, and lead fast security reviews.\n\nThink about the future. Evolve identity and permissions for our AI and agent features, and work with leadership and engineering on cloud hardening, secure SDLC, and SOC 2.\n\nThis is an in-person role in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA. They understood the importance of listening to customers and prioritizing their requests effectively, but simply had too much feedback to parse through. If this sounds exciting, we can't wait to read your application.\nWhat You Bring\n5+ years in security engineering, detection engineering, or incident response, including time as a senior IC or technical lead.\n\nBroad technical depth across compute, network, and storage, so you can judge real risk across the stack.\n\nNice to have: detection-as-code, using LLMs in security workflows, securing AI systems, container security, vendor or M&A security reviews, or threat intel and forensics.\n\nYou are excited about working at a startup pace.
