We believe the next generation of consumer brands will be built differently - and we're building the AI-enabled retail tech platform to help them consolidate and win.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Credit Controller at Unybrands, you will help establish and stand up a new credit control function. Because this role is being created from the ground up, you’ll be responsible for building processes, setting up workflows, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement a practical, repeatable approach to managing customer accounts and improving collections performance.\nThis position is fully remote and supports the order-to-cash workflow across our global operations. You will partner with teams such as Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure invoices are accurate, disputes are handled efficiently, and overdue balances are reduced through clear communication and consistent follow-up.\nIn this role, success means not only collecting outstanding amounts, but also creating policies, routines, and reporting that will allow the team to scale collections in a controlled and reliable way.\nMain Responsibilities\nBuild the credit control function from inception by designing workflows, follow-up cadence, and escalation steps.\nEstablish and maintain AR monitoring routines, including account aging review, overdue prioritization, and follow-up planning.\nPartner with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to understand billing drivers and create a clear path to issue resolution.\nDefine a dispute management approach (e.g., how disputes are logged, investigated, owned, and resolved).\nDevelop initial credit control policies and recommend improvements as the program matures (e.g., payment terms handling, escalation criteria).\nContact customers (and/or relevant internal stakeholders, depending on process ownership) to request payment and resolve blockers.\nSupport credit decisions by reviewing payment history, account status, and risk indicators-then document the approach as policies evolve.\nCreate and maintain documentation of collection activity, customer communications, and case outcomes.\nSet up collections reporting (e.g., AR aging trends, overdue balances, collection outcomes) and communicate insights to stakeholders.\nIdentify root causes of delays (billing accuracy, terms, disputes, process gaps) and propose solutions.\nCollaborate with the team to continuously improve processes as data and outcomes emerge.\nMaintain confidentiality of company, partner, and customer information.\nAssist with departmental or company projects as assigned.\nPerform other reasonable duties required by management or leadership.\nQualifications\nCoachable and proactive-comfortable building processes where no prior policies exist.\nDetail-oriented, organized, and goal-oriented with strong follow-up discipline.\nRobust collaboration skills and the ability to influence without formal authority.\nGood verbal and written communication skills (clear, professional, non-confrontational).\nStrong time management and ability to manage competing priorities.\nBasic understanding of finance and accounting concepts related to Accounts Receivable and collections.\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., filters, lookups, pivot tables).\n 1-3 years of Credit Control / Accounts Receivable / Collections experience (adjust as needed).\nExperience with ERP and AR/collections tools (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus.\nCustomer service experience is a plus, especially where dispute resolution and account follow-up are involved.\nunybrandsis an equal opportunity employer and considers all applicants for employment without any regard to race, skin color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, and age.
