We partner with three leading Universities in New Zealand delivering a range of specialised Foundation Studies courses and English language programmes.\nTo find out more about us, please visit https://www.up.education/study/university-partnerships\n Location: Auckland CBD\nEmployment: Full-time, permanent (participation in a rotating emergency phone roster)\nGuaranteed hours: 40 hours per week\nSalary: $60,000 - $65,000 gross per annum\nAbout the role:\nWe are seeking an organised and proactive Accommodation Coordinator to coordinate accommodation arrangements and support a safe, positive experience for our international students, with a particular focus on students under 18.\nYou will coordinate placements, accommodation changes and holiday arrangements, maintain accurate documentation, and work closely with students, parents, agents, accommodation providers and internal teams. The role requires sound judgement, attention to detail and a responsive approach to accommodation and student welfare concerns.\nKey responsibilities\nCoordinate homestay placements and Designated Caregiver arrangements, ensuring the required documentation and confirmations are completed.\nCoordinate accommodation and welfare processes for students under 18, following college policies and procedures.\nManage the Under 18 Holiday Plan process, including distributing forms, following up with students and families, and confirming arrangements with accommodation providers.\nCoordinate accommodation changes, transfers and student requests, keeping relevant parties informed.\nRespond to accommodation enquiries and provide clear information to students, parents, agents, providers and internal teams.\nWork with accommodation providers and the wider college team to resolve accommodation issues, escalating welfare concerns when required.\nMaintain accurate, confidential student, accommodation and compliance records across relevant systems.\nIssue accommodation invoices, monitor payments and follow up outstanding amounts or discrepancies.\nParticipate in the rotating 24/7 emergency phone roster, responding to urgent matters and following established escalation procedures.\n You will bring empathy, cultural awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and timely follow-up.\nAt least three years of relevant experience in student accommodation coordination, international student support or a closely related role.\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple arrangements, deadlines and follow-ups.\nClear written and verbal communication skills.\nThe ability to build effective relationships with students, families, agents, accommodation providers and colleagues.\nSound judgement when handling sensitive information and student welfare concerns.\nAccuracy when managing documentation, invoices and payment records.\nConfidence using Microsoft Office and CRM or student management systems.\nThe ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.\nAvailability to participate in the rotating after-hours emergency phone roster.\nExperience supporting international students, particularly students under 18, would be an advantage.\n Questions about your identity help us appreciate the diversity of individuals looking to work with us, ensuring we’re attracting applications from people with identities and perspectives that are as diverse as our students.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
