We are seeking a Fieldwork Placement Coordinator to coordinate student placements, support industry partnerships, and contribute to high-quality teaching and learning within our Community Services program that prepare our graduates for real-world success.\nAbout the role:\nPermanent, Full Time\nBased on Oxford St, Surry Hills\nCoordinate fieldwork placements for Community Services students while contributing to teaching, assessment and student support. Work with academic teams and industry partners to prepare students for professional practice and ensure placement and academic requirements are met.\nKey responsibilities\nAssess placement requirements, coordinate student-to-agency matching, deliver placement inductions and work with industry partners to support successful placement experiences.\nDevelop and maintain relevant teaching materials, deliver engaging learning experiences, support assessment and provide timely, constructive feedback to students.\nPrepare students for professional practice, monitor student progress, identify students requiring additional support and collaborate with relevant staff to address concerns.\nMaintain accurate placement and assessment records, ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements, and contribute to moderation and continuous improvement activities.\nBuild effective working relationships with placement agencies, supervisors and academic colleagues to strengthen placement processes and enhance student outcomes.\n About you\nYou are an experienced Community Services, Human Services, Welfare Work or Social Work professional who is passionate about developing future practitioners. You bring a strong understanding of industry practice, a collaborative approach and the ability to support students as they transition into professional environments.\nYou will ideally have:\nA postgraduate qualification (AQF Level 8 or above) in Community Services, Welfare Work, Human Services, Social Work or a related discipline.\nAt least three years of relevant post-qualification industry experience in Community Services, Human Services, Human Welfare or Social Work.\nA strong understanding of the theory, practice and professional expectations of the community services sector.\nExcellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate competing priorities and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.\nA commitment to high professional and ethical standards, student engagement and continuous improvement.\nA willingness to undertake at least 20 hours of continuing professional development each year.\nExperience in fieldwork placement coordination, tertiary teaching, academic assessment or higher education program delivery will be highly regarded, but is not a requirement.
