You must be able to commute to our West 22nd Street office in New York.\nAbout The Role\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to support the development of a new AI product. In this role, you will work with clients to observe, document, and analyze their processes end-to-end, then translate those findings into clear, actionable insights for the Product team. You will serve as the critical bridge between real-world client workflows and the product requirements that will shape our next-generation solution.\nResponsibilities\nConduct discovery sessions, observing and documenting specific data processing workflows from invoice receipt through resolution. \nAnalyze client data administration processes to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and gaps in current tools and workflows. \nUse SQL to query and validate client data, supporting deeper analysis of data volumes, aging, dispute rates, and resolution patterns. \nCompile and present structured findings from client engagements back to the Product team, including process maps, gap analyses, and prioritized feature recommendations. \nDevelop detailed process documentation, workflow diagrams, and use case narratives that inform product specifications \nPartner with Product Managers to translate client insights into clear, actionable requirements and functional specifications throughout the product development lifecycle. \nBuild and maintain strong client relationships during engagements, ensuring a consultative and professional experience throughout each discovery project. \nContribute to defining success metrics, validation criteria, and acceptance standards for new features as they move through development. \nProvide clarification on system behavior and expected functionality to internal teams. \nAssist the Product Manager with requirements clarification, functional documentation, and refinement of specifications as needed. \nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience. \n2+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, functional consultant, or related role, ideally within a SaaS or CPG/trade finance environment. \nProficiency with SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets \nDemonstrated experience conducting client-facing discovery, process analysis, or requirements gathering engagements. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex operational processes into structured, communicable findings. \nExcellent communication and presentation skills, with comfort presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working within Agile/Scrum environments. \nFamiliarity with APIs, data structures, or system integrations. \nExperience with BI or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). \nExperience using issue tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. \nBenefits\nWHY UPCLEAR?\nBe part of a growing global SaaS company, with offices in NYC, London, Paris, Singapore.\nWeekly happy hours, good office culture, global cross team collaboration, direct access to executive leadership for guidance.\nUpClear employees have access to a range of competitive benefits, including\nVarious Health Care Plans you can choose from to best fits your needs (Medical, Dental & Vision)\nRetirement Plan with company match (401k, IRA)\nGenerous Paid Time Off package that grows with seniority (Vacation, Sick, and Public Holidays)\nPaid Maternity leave\nPaid Parental bonding leave\nOne month paid sabbatical after five continuous years of work at UpClear\nHybrid work model\nCompetitive Salary ($65K - $85K)\nThe salary range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
