Our existing infrastructure relies on open-source built with Go & Perl, with a heavy emphasis on a distributed microservices architecture.\nWe’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our team responsible for several of our Core products, e.g., cloud servers.\nIn this role, you will:\nWork as part of an experienced team focused on our core software: especially computation and storages.\n\nImprove and further develop the provisioning and components behind our entire cloud stack.\n\nFocus especially on our Compute stack - including VM provisioning, CPU, and GPU.\n\nEnhance and upgrade our internal integrations and collaborate with our other development teams.\n\nParticipate in building our next level of cloud offering, like improved storages and compute plans.\n\nYou will need to have:\nSkills and background in full-stack or backend development: our stack is Perl and Golang. Knowledge of these or similar languages is a must-have.\n\nUnderstanding and skills with virtualisation, Linux servers, bare-metal, or large-scale systems.\n\nKnowledge and practice with API development and modern practices.\n\nA proactive work mindset will give you plenty of freedom and responsibility.\n\nWe also appreciate (read: not compulsory but a nice bonus):\nUnderstanding and skills with frontend development. Our stack is React, TypeScript, and Next.js: working with them is, of course, even better.\n\nKnowledge of hypervisors, the Linux networking stack, and virtual storage solutions.\n\nUnderstanding of the Linux platform (Kernel parameters, initrd, systemd).\n\nExperience in applying CI/CD and other automation tooling, as well as Git.\n\nExperience working with distributed architecture and building microservices.\n\nUnderstanding of customer expectations for cloud infrastructure.\n\nYou can work from our office in the heart of Helsinki or fully remotely anywhere in the EU.\nWhy join UpCloud?\nUpCloud is in an exciting phase right now, on track for massive growth in the cloud market.
