You work to a five-day close.\nMust have\n\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\n\n5+ years in accounting, in a firm or multi-client environment\n\nFull cycle bookkeeping: reconciliations, A/P, A/R, journal entries, accruals and prepaids\n\nExperience owning a month-end close, not just supporting one\n\nHands-on experience with cloud accounting software\n\nEnglish at B2 level or above, written and spoken\n\nNice to have\n\nQuickBooks Online or Xero experience. We will fund your QuickBooks Online certification during onboarding if you do not have it.\n\neCommerce or consumer goods clients\n\nA professional accounting qualification: ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA, ACA, Contador Publico, or your country's equivalent. In progress counts.\n\nInventory and COGS experience\n\nSales tax and multi-jurisdiction compliance\n\nClickUp or similar project management tools\n\nWhat you will do\n\nOwn full-cycle bookkeeping across a portfolio of client files\n\nRun month-end and year-end close: schedules, balance sheet tie-outs, timely reporting\n\nRecord payroll entries, prepaids and accruals accurately\n\nManage sales tax filings, remittances and compliance across jurisdictions\n\nReview your own work before it goes up. Self-review is part of the job.\n\nIdentify automation opportunities and suggest workflow improvements\n\nWhat the job actually looks like\n\nMonth end is the most demanding period of the month and falls within the first ten business days. It eases considerably after that.\n\nYou are expected to book around 39 hours a week to client work.\n\nYou own your files. Your manager reviews; they do not do it for you.\n\nSome of our processes are mature, and others are still being built.
