If you are a self-motivated go-getter ready to add value to an early-stage startup, this is the place for you.\nWhat you'll do\nLead and manage a team of bookkeeping professionals who review and provide weekly bookkeeping to UPLINQ’s portfolio of clients.\nManage team, clients, and their scope of work to ensure internal and external (i.e. tax) deadlines are met.\nBuild and implement scalable bookkeeping processes that allow UPLINQ to provide high quality bookkeeping services at scale.\nSpearhead solutions with clients and step in to manage client interactions as needed (i.e. high value clients).\nProvide input to engineers and product team to ensure UPLINQ’s internal bookkeeping system and automation are being built to streamline UPLINQ’s service offerings in line with accounting standards.\nEnsure and manage the transition of high quality bookkeeping clients to the UPLINQ Tax team for tax filing, tax advisory services, and other offerings.\nQualifications\nSignificant experience with start-to-end bookkeeping, including but not limited to categorization, reconciliation, AR/AP, payroll-related journals, financial statements review, and handoff to tax advisors.\nExperience hiring and scaling an accounting team.\nExperience creating and implementing accounting processes within a team (SOPs, quarterly close, monthly close).\nExperience working closely with tax advisors and tax-focused CPAs.\nDesire to approach accounting fundamentals with technology; possessing an open mind, adaptability, and excitement about UPLINQ’s vision.\nUphold an attitude that no task is too big or too small. Demonstrate a willingness to manage some clients early on to ensure they fully understand UPLINQ’s system and that all UPLINQ clients receive quality bookkeeping.\nThe ideal candidate has at least 3 years experience in Client Accounting Services, preferably in management.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing systems and processes.\nCPA designation is highly preferred.\nEntrepreneurial experience is highly preferred.
