UPM Adhesive Materials is looking for a Segment & Business Development Manager, Signage & Promotion and Public Transportation Graphics to join our team.

What you will do

  • Define and execute the Graphics segment, industry, and special applications strategy to drive sustainable business growth.

  • Gather and translate market, customer, competitor, and value chain insights into business and commercialization plans, identifying trends, unmet needs, and future growth opportunities.

  • Monitor and analyze macro and micro market developments, providing actionable recommendations and reporting on factors affecting customers, competitors, and product markets.

  • Build and maintain relationships across the industry ecosystem, including customers, business partners, trade associations, and key stakeholders, representing the company at relevant events and conferences.

  • Lead customer and partner engagement, including business development discussions and negotiations, to capture opportunities and support strategic objectives.

  • Develop industry-specific value propositions, evaluate new business opportunities, and contribute to strategic and tactical plans for new and existing products and services.

  • Lead and support complex business development initiatives and cross-functional projects, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, PD&I, Technical Support, MSC, and other stakeholders to support portfolio strategy, pipeline prioritization, and growth acceleration.

Who you are

  • University degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Graphics industry in areas such as business development, strategic marketing, product management, or a similar commercial role.

  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities and growth initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of market analysis, customer insights, industry trends, and value chain dynamics.

  • Experience working with customers, partners, and stakeholders across complex business environments.

  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment, with a collaborative and results-oriented mindset.

  • Fluency in English and at least one additional European language is required; proficiency in Spanish, Italian and/or French would be a strong asset to support the Southern Europe region.
