This role sits at the intersection of content, community, and competitive play, translating product releases, gameplay mechanics, and organized play moments into compelling, platform-native storytelling. The social media & Coordinator will work hand-in-hand with the Social and Content Manager to ensure clear direction and initiative with strategy and content.\nYou will help build an always-on ecosystem that supports new player onboarding, competitive scene growth, and long-term player loyalty, while ensuring each product release is amplified through high-frequency, multi-format content.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned. \nContent Strategy & Gameplay Storytelling\nTranslate card mechanics, deck strategies, and meta shifts into digestible, engaging social content (short-form video, explainers, graphics, carousels, livestream clips). \nPartner with Product and Game Design teams to highlight: \nNew set releases and card reveal \nGameplay features and mechanics \nDeck-building strategies and competitive viability \nScript and produce gameplay-forward content including: \nPack openings and case hits \n“How to play” tutorials and onboarding content \nMeta breakdowns and “top deck” features \nDevelop structured content calendars tied to release cycles, patch updates, and organized play events. \nCreative Production & Live Content\nCreate and manage creative briefs for design, gameplay capture, and motion assets. \nCapture and edit gameplay footage, card animations, and live match highlights. \nExecute live content formats: \nTournament coverage (local and major events) \nDeveloper Q&As and patch note breakdowns \nCommunity matches and influencer showdowns \nEnsure platform-native execution (TikTok for discovery, YouTube for long-form, Discord for community depth). \nCommunity & Player Ecosystem Management\nActively engage with the player base across: \nSocial platforms (Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube) \nCommunity platforms (Discord, Reddit, Twitch) \nRespond to comments, DMs, gameplay questions, and rules clarifications in partnership with internal teams. \nCurate and amplify user-generated content (UGC) including: \nDeck builds \nGameplay clips \nFan art and custom formats \nSupport and grow a creator ecosystem: \nIdentify TCG creators, competitive players, and streamers \nCoordinate product seeding and early access opportunities \nTrack creator performance and content output \nOrganized Play & Event Integration\nSupport promotion and coverage of: \nRegional tournaments and championship events \nLocal game store activations \nSeasonal or ranked play initiatives \nBuild hype and participation through: \nEvent countdowns and reminders \nLive updates and highlight clips \nPost-event recaps and winner spotlights \nCollaborate with Organized Play teams to align messaging and scheduling. \nReal-Time Marketing & Cultural Integration\nIdentify opportunities to connect gameplay and IP to: \nEntertainment releases \nGaming trends and memes \nSeasonal and cultural moments \nRapidly deploy reactive content that aligns with TCG community humor, meta commentary, and player sentiment. \nExecute interactive formats: Polls (“Which deck wins?”) \nAMAs with developers or top players \nCommunity challenges and contests \n\nAnalytics, Insights & Optimization\nTrack and analyze performance across key KPIs: Engagement rate, watch time, retention, shares, saves \nFollower growth and community participation \nConversion signals (clicks to learn/play/buy) \n\nMonitor meta sentiment and player feedback across: Social channels \nDiscord servers and Reddit threads\nLivestream chats and tournament discussions \n\nDeliver post-campaign and post-release reporting with actionable insights. \nLeverage social listening: Emerging deck trends \nContent opportunities \nCommunity pain points \n\nCustomer Experience & Feedback Loop\nSurface gameplay issues, balance concerns, and product feedback to: Game Design \nProduct teams \nCustomer support \n\nAct as a voice of the player, ensuring community sentiment informs future releases and updates. \nEDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE \n1-3 years of experience in social media, gaming, or TCG-related content \nStrong familiarity with trading card games, deck-building systems, and competitive play structures \nExperience creating short-form and gameplay-driven content \nDeep understanding of platforms including TikTok, YouTube, X, Instagram, Discord, and Twitch \nStrong copywriting skills with the ability to simplify complex gameplay concepts \nMust be comfortable on camera to talk through games and interviews \nHands-on experience with TCGs (digital or physical), especially competitive play preferred\nExperience working with creator/influencer ecosystems in gaming preferred\nFamiliarity with live streaming tools and workflows preferred\nExperience using analytics and social listening platforms preferred\nREQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
