This individual partners with managers to drive employee engagement, performance management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, talent development, and workforce planning. The ideal candidate is proactive, approachable, solutions oriented, and comfortable working in a fast paced construction environment.\nCompensation: $100,000-$120,000 annually\nResponsibilities\nPartner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies that support organizational goals.\nServe as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.\nGuide managers through employee performance discussions, corrective action, investigations, and terminations while ensuring consistency and compliance.\nSupport organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.\nPartner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring strategies and workforce growth.\nAnalyze workforce trends and HR metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.\nCoach managers on leadership development, employee engagement, and team effectiveness.\nAssist with change management initiatives during organizational growth and restructuring.\nEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.\nPartner with Payroll and HR Operations on employee lifecycle processes.\nSupport compensation and promotion recommendations in partnership with leadership.\nParticipate in employee engagement initiatives, culture building activities, and retention strategies.\nAssist with policy development and continuous improvement of HR programs and processes.\nSupport investigations involving employee concerns while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.\nBuild strong relationships across all levels of the organization.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.\n5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist supporting business leaders.\nExperience supporting construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other field based organizations strongly preferred.\nStrong knowledge of California employment law.\nExperience handling employee relations, investigations, performance management, and coaching.\nExcellent communication and relationship building skills.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nAbility to influence and partner with leaders at all levels.\nHigh level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.\nProficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPHR, SPHR, SHRM CP, or SHRM SCP certification.\nExperience supporting multi state workforces.\nExperience with Greenhouse, UKG, Paylocity, ADP, or similar HR systems.\nExperience supporting rapid organizational growth.\nWhat You'll Bring\nStrong business acumen and the ability to align HR initiatives with company objectives.\nA collaborative and service focused mindset.\nSound judgment and confidence in navigating sensitive employee situations.\nA continuous improvement mentality with a willingness to challenge the status quo.\nExcellent problem solving and decision making skills.\nThe ability to thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment.\nAbout Us\nUprite Construction was established in 1991 as a multi-service construction company specializing in project site development, ground-up, new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements for the commercial and industrial sectors.
