This role will be responsible for leading commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout, with a strong focus on ground up and tilt up construction.\nWe are specifically looking for someone who has worked directly for a commercial general contractor and has hands on experience managing ground up tilt up projects. Candidates should understand the full project lifecycle and be comfortable owning project financials, subcontractor relationships, schedules, client communication, and overall project execution.\nWhat You’ll Do\nManage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout\nLead ground up tilt up and industrial construction projects\nManage project budgets, forecasting, cost reports, owner billing, subcontractor payments, and overall financial performance\nLead subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, contract negotiations, and procurement\nDevelop and maintain project schedules while working closely with field leadership to identify risks and keep projects moving\nManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, documentation, and project controls\nCoordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams\nPartner closely with Superintendents to coordinate field activities, sequencing, logistics, quality, and schedule\nLead owner and project meetings and provide clear communication regarding schedule, financials, risks, and project progress\nManage tilt up construction activities including site development, foundations, slab construction, panel coordination, erection sequencing, structural steel, roofing, building envelope, and associated trades\nIdentify project risks early and work with the team to develop practical solutions\nSupport and mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers assigned to the project\nMaintain strong client relationships throughout the project and support opportunities for repeat business\nEnsure projects meet Uprite standards for safety, quality, schedule, financial performance, and client service\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5 plus years of progressive commercial construction experience\nExperience working directly for a commercial general contractor\nGround up commercial construction experience is required\nTilt up construction experience is required\nExperience managing industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, commercial, or similar ground up projects preferred\nStrong understanding of concrete tilt up construction and the sequencing required to successfully deliver these projects\nExperience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout\nExperience with subcontractor buyout, contracts, budgeting, forecasting, change management, owner billing, and cost control\nAbility to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, scopes, contracts, and schedules\nStrong working relationship with field teams and subcontractors\nAbility to communicate effectively with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal leadership\nExperience managing Project Engineers or Assistant Project Managers preferred\nProcore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software experience preferred\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred\nRequired Background\nThis position requires direct ground up commercial construction experience as well as tilt up experience.
