This role requires someone with significant ground up tilt up construction experience who is comfortable owning field operations, coordinating trades, driving the schedule, and maintaining strong safety and quality standards from mobilization through closeout.\nCandidates MUST CURRENTLY live in California. We are open to candidates based in Northern California or Southern California who are accustomed to traveling for projects and are comfortable being onsite in Merced for the duration of the assignment.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO:\nLead day to day field operations for a large ground up industrial tilt up project\nManage the project from sitework and foundations through concrete tilt panels, structural steel, roofing, MEP systems, interiors, and closeout\nCoordinate tilt panel sequencing, erection activities, crane operations, bracing, structural connections, and associated trades\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, look ahead schedules, sequencing plans, and daily field activities\nCoordinate subcontractors and ensure scopes are properly planned and executed\nLead subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, inspections, and field coordination\nWork closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners\nIdentify potential schedule, constructability, and field coordination issues before they impact the project\nMaintain strong quality control throughout all phases of construction\nManage site logistics, deliveries, manpower planning, equipment coordination, and material flow\nEnsure work is completed safely and in accordance with plans, specifications, schedule, and project requirements\nMaintain accurate daily reports and project documentation\nDrive punch list, commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities\nWhat You'll Bring:\nSignificant Superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor\nHeavy ground up concrete tilt up experience is required\nStrong understanding of tilt wall construction from foundations and slab preparation through panel erection and building dry in\nIndustrial construction experience is strongly preferred\nExperience building large distribution centers, fulfillment centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, or similar industrial projects\nAmazon warehouse or fulfillment center construction experience is a major plus\nExperience managing large subcontractor teams and complex project schedules\nStrong knowledge of concrete, structural steel, sitework, underground utilities, roofing, MEP systems, and interior buildout\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and shop drawings\nStrong communication and leadership skills with the ability to hold subcontractors accountable while maintaining productive relationships\nSafety focused with a strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements and field best practices\nLocation and Travel Requirements\nMust currently reside in California\nProject is located in Merced, California\nCandidates from both Northern California and Southern California will be considered\nCandidates who do not live within commuting distance of Merced must be comfortable traveling to the project\nThis is an onsite field leadership position and requires consistent presence at the project\nIdeal Background\nThe strongest candidate will come from a commercial general contractor and have personally led multiple large ground up concrete tilt up projects. We are especially interested in Superintendents with industrial warehouse, distribution, logistics, fulfillment, or manufacturing experience.
