Candidates must be able to demonstrate grocery projects in their project history where they served in a Superintendent or lead field leadership capacity.\nThe initial assignment will require travel to Boise. Once this project is completed, this individual must be willing and able to travel to future project sites throughout the United States as needed.\nWe are looking for someone who knows how to run a jobsite, coordinate trades, maintain an aggressive schedule, solve problems in the field, and take ownership of a project from early construction through turnover.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead day to day field operations for a ground up grocery store project in Boise\nManage the project from site work and foundations through vertical construction, interior buildout, inspections, punch, and turnover\nCoordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics\nManage sequencing of trades and ensure subcontractors are prepared for upcoming work\nMaintain the construction schedule and proactively address issues that could impact project milestones\nCoordinate closely with the Project Manager, ownership team, design team, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders\nReview drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation\nOversee quality control and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications\nLead site safety efforts and maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite\nConduct daily site walks and monitor progress, productivity, quality, and safety\nMaintain accurate daily reports, progress photos, and field documentation\nCoordinate inspections, punch list activities, turnover, and project closeout\nTravel to future project locations throughout the United States following completion of the Boise project\nRequired Experience\nProven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction\nGround up grocery store construction experience is required\nMust have personally led at least one ground up grocery store project as a Superintendent or equivalent field leader\nGrocery store projects must be identifiable within the candidate’s project history\nStrong ground up construction experience from site development through final turnover\nExperience coordinating multiple trades, subcontractors, inspections, utilities, equipment, and vendors\nStrong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, sequencing, and field coordination\nAbility to identify potential schedule or construction issues early and develop practical solutions\nStrong leadership and communication skills\nAbility to independently manage day to day field operations\nMust be willing and able to travel to Boise, Idaho for the initial project\nMust be willing and able to travel to project sites throughout the United States for future assignments\nStrongly Preferred Experience\nExperience with grocery projects involving complex MEP systems, refrigeration coordination, food service areas, equipment installation, loading and receiving areas, extensive utility coordination, and owner supplied equipment is highly valued.\nCandidates with multiple completed ground up grocery stores in their project history are strongly preferred.\nTravel Requirements\nThis is a Traveling Superintendent position.\nThe initial project is located in Boise, Idaho. Candidates must be able to travel to and remain in the Boise area as required to successfully manage the project.\nFollowing completion of the Boise project, the Superintendent will be assigned to additional projects based on company needs.
