We are UPS... the United Problem Solvers!\nAn Industrial Engineering Intern at UPS works on targeted projects individually, or in small teams. Projects require operational observations, data collection, cross functional communication, and problem solving. All completed projects will be presented to the Industrial Engineering staff upon completion.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nProjects include, but are not limited to:\nWork Measurement in Master Standard Data (MSD)\nCost benefit analysis\nProcess improvement analysis \nOperational planning\nExploring and applying Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and data analytics tools to improve operational efficiency and support engineering initiatives\nQualifications and Skills:\nKnowledge of Industrial Engineering and/or Engineering related discipline\nEffective statistical analysis skills\nEffective research and communication skills\nEnthusiasm, idealism, creativity and dedication to getting results\nAbility to work collaboratively and independently\nAbility to interact and communicate effectively across business units\nExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills\nBasic Qualifications:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer\nEmployer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions\nMust be currently located in the same geographic location as the internship or willing to relocate yourself\nCurrent student enrolled in a degreed college/university program, or recent graduate from a degreed college/university program within the past 24 months\nMust be available to work 40 hours per week.\nFor Non-Union Intern/Co-Op Positions:\n401(k) retirement program - eligible at 90 days of employment\nPersonal time\nDiscounted Employee Stock Purchase Program - eligible at 6 months of employment\nDeadline to Apply: April 1, 2027\nEmployee Type:\nInternUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.\nOther Criteria:\nUPS is an equal opportunity employer.
