He/She ensures proper use and care of physical assets, controls costs, manages external vendor relationships, works closely with auto mechanics and internal customers, and performs regular equipment and facility audits. This position supervises mechanics within the department.\nAdditional Information:\nMust be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required (not remote) Must report to facility.\nLocation: RIPRO, 150 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886\nJob Level: Supervisor\nWork Schedule: Start between 2 to 3 in the afternoon, sometimes a little later, based on business needs.\nInternal applicants must apply byend of day Thursday, 10/15/26.\nResponsibilities:\nSchedules preventative maintenance inspections and reviews the results, monitors repairs, and performs vehicle audits to ensure mechanics adhere to safety, regulatory and appearance standards.\nAnalyzes equipment or vehicle system failures to determine root causes and resolve problems, and plans and coordinates equipment repairs with internal and external groups.\nEnsures adequate inventory levels (e.g., parts, tires, etc.) to support business processes.\nAdheres to purchasing limits, expense approval procedures, and equipment disposal guidelines to remain within cost plan.\nReviews and approves automotive expenses.\nDetermines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.\nConducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.\nQualifications:\nAutomotive background - preferred\nKnowledge of mechanical fundamentals, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair to vehicle or aircraft fleet operation\nAbility to manage equipment repair and oversee the correction of problems with tools, machinery, and other standard technical equipment\nAbility to manage inspections, physical assets, and working relationships with vendors\nEmployee Type:\nPermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.\nOther Criteria:\nUPS is an equal opportunity employer.
