He/She utilizes the agile-waterfall methodology development process. This position works independently on one or more highly complex database environments. He/She assists with providing the definition of logical and physical data elements for promoting data sharing, reusing data objects, and ensuring a coherent data source strategy. This position transforms logical data models into physical databases, applying techniques based on applications’ processing needs. He/She investigates complex problems, monitors performance, contributes to back-up and recovery procedures, creates reports, and configures and installs database software.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport the delivery of critical financial and operational data used for reporting, forecasting, and business decision-making.\nMonitor production processes, validate results, and resolve data quality or system issues to ensure accurate and timely data delivery.\nInvestigate complex data and reporting discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.\nPartner with business and technology teams to develop, test, and deploy data solutions, system enhancements, and process improvements.\nProvide support, training, and guidance to users of enterprise reporting and data platforms.\nDevelop and maintain documentation, operational procedures, and controls that promote consistency, efficiency, and knowledge sharing.\nIdentify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the reliability, scalability, and effectiveness of data and reporting environments.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s Degree or International equivalent in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field - Preferred\nStrong SQL skills for querying and transforming data (BigQuery preferred)\nExperience demonstrating basic knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and ETL processes\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities\nOther Criteria:\nThis position is a Grade Level 203\nCandidate must be geographically located in the same region as position or willing to self-relocate\nThe last day to apply is 11/4/2026 at 11:59pm ET\nEmployee Type:\nPermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.\nOther Criteria:\nUPS is an equal opportunity employer.
