The candidate will ensure compliance with all preventive maintenance programs guaranteeing a safe and efficient operation.\nAdditional Information:\nMust be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required (not remote)\n\nLocation: KYVLE, 1860 Outer Loop Building 2, Louisville, KY 40219\n\nJob Level: Technician\n\nInternal Salary Grade: 008\n\nWork Schedule: M-F. 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.\n\nInternal applicants must apply by end of day Saturday, July 18th\n\nResponsibilities:\nSet up and operate a variety of case handling machines and conveyors.\n\nFit and assemble parts to fabricate or repair machines and conveyors.\n\nStudies blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of parts required.\n\nDismantle machines, conveyors or equipment to examine parts for defects.\n\nReplace defective part(s) and repairs/reproduces part from various kinds of stock.\n\nAssemble and test machines and conveyors to verify correction of malfunction.\n\nMaintain and lubricate machines, conveyor tools and equipment.\n\nFollow all safety guidelines when performing maintenance functions.\n\nMaintain logs on the history of all repairs and preventive maintenance by equipment type.\n\nCommunicate internally with Plant Engineering management, employees and managers.\n\nPreferences:\nAbility to read/interpret blueprints and other technical/mechanical diagrams.\n\nConveyor Mechanic Experience - Required\n\nPLC Software diagnostics and troubleshooting - Preferred\n\nAutomation Experience - Preferred\n\nEmployee Type:\nPermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.\nOther Criteria:\nUPS is an equal opportunity employer.
