Partners with Product Management, Architecture, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and customer-focused solutions while driving engineering excellence and talent development.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn technical architecture, engineering roadmaps, and technology decisions for assigned products and platforms.\nLead software engineering teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions.\nPartner with Product Managers to align technical execution with business objectives and customer outcomes.\nDrive modernization initiatives, cloud adoption, API strategy, DevOps, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.\nEnsure compliance with security, performance, scalability, and reliability standards.\nManage technical debt, engineering backlogs, and platform health.\nChampion software quality through automated testing, monitoring, and production readiness practices.\nCollaborate with architects, product managers, and engineering leaders to solve complex technical challenges.\nPromote innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of emerging technologies.\nDevelop and mentor engineers, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture.\nQualifications\nProven experience leading software engineering teams in large-scale digital platforms.\nTen plus years of strong expertise in software architecture, cloud technologies, APIs, microservices, and DevOps practices.\nExperience delivering customer-facing web and mobile applications.\nDemonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.\nStrong leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience with Agile and Lean software development methodologies.\nAbility to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical leadership.\nSuccess Measures\nDelivery of secure, scalable, and reliable customer-facing solutions.\nImproved engineering productivity, quality, and operational stability.\nSuccessful execution of modernization and platform transformation initiatives.\nHigh team engagement, talent development, and retention.\nStrong alignment between business goals, customer needs, and technology strategy.\nPreferred Experience\nShipping technology, logistics, transportation, or e-commerce platforms.\nCustomer-facing applications supporting shipment creation, tracking, profile management, payment, rating, and fulfillment experiences.\nLegacy modernization and platform transformation initiatives.\nEmployee Type:\nPermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.\nOther Criteria:\nEmployer will sponsor visas for specific positions.
