Employee assists with dispatch planning and is responsible for ensuring that service, safety, and cost goals are met. This position coordinates with others to ensure dispatch plans are executed efficiently along with adequate staffing and equipment levels for transportation needs. Employee oversees load and tractor planning and assignments, monitors load movements, and tracks the condition of equipment. This position reviews, analyzes, and tracks various dispatch and service reports and schedules. Employee creates efficient dispatch plans, verifies service levels, addresses performance issues, and incorporates modifications such as new customers, new locations, and additional loads into dispatch plans. This position oversees yard operations by coordinating drivers with load volume, ensuring that trailers are in the correct locations and are loaded or empty as planned, and confirming accurate trailer inventory.\nResponsibilities:\nReviews driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.\nConducts hazardous materials audits.\nReviews safety reports.\nVerifies appropriate driver uniforms and utilization of safe work methods.\nDetermines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.\nProvides feedback and support.\nConducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred\nAbility to lift 70 lbs. /32 kgs.\nAvailability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week\nStrong oral and written communication skills:\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office\nAbility to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment\nManagement experience - Preferred\nEmployee Type:\nPermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.\nOther Criteria:\nUPS is an equal opportunity employer. The base pay for this position ranges from $26.25/hr to $42.65/hr. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
