If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level.\nJob Description:\nThe Technical Accounting Supervisor serves as a key member of the Technical Accounting and External Reporting team and is responsible for leading the Company's accounting policy governance framework while providing technical accounting support for complex transactions. This role partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Treasury, Tax, and business leaders to evaluate accounting implications of strategic activities, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, and drive consistent application of accounting policies across the organization.\nThe position leads the maintenance and governance of enterprise accounting policies and procedures, monitors emerging accounting standards and regulatory developments, and assesses the impact of new guidance on the Company's financial statements, processes, and controls. The Technical Accounting Supervisor also prepares technical accounting analyses and position papers, supports SEC reporting and disclosure requirements, and serves as a subject matter expert on complex accounting matters.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the governance, maintenance, and periodic review of enterprise accounting policies and procedures, ensuring documentation remains current, accurate, and compliant with U.S. GAAP, SEC requirements, and internal control standards.\nCoordinate with accounting policy owners and cross-functional stakeholders to review, update, approve, and communicate policy changes across the organization.\nResearch and analyze complex accounting transactions and contractual agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment and reporting implications.\nPrepare technical accounting memoranda and policy interpretations supporting significant transactions and accounting conclusions.\nEvaluate new accounting standards, SEC regulations, and emerging accounting guidance; assess business impacts and coordinate implementation activities.\nSupport quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.\nEnsure consistent application of accounting policies and accounting guidance across business units and functions.\nPartner with internal and external auditors on accounting policy, technical accounting, and financial reporting matters.\nIdentify opportunities to enhance accounting policy governance, documentation processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial reporting processes\nExperience researching and documenting complex accounting issues and preparing technical accounting memoranda\nOther Criteria:\nThis position is an Internal Grade Level 20E\nCandidate must be geographically located in the same region as position or willing to self-relocate.\nThe last day to apply is 9/28/2026 at 11:59pm ET.\nEmployee Type:\nPermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.\nOther Criteria:\nUPS is an equal opportunity employer.
