If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level.\nJob Description:\nThe Treasury Accounting Manager is responsible for UPS fair value compliance, including but not limited to derivatives, investments, intercompany loans, and debt accounting. Accounting responsibilities include global cash accounting in the UPS treasury management system, balancing intercompany GL accounts (domestic and international), preparing/posting month end closing journal entries for Inter-Company treasury related activity. The manager is responsible for developing and reviewing forecasts, preparing month-end accounting entries, and preparing external reporting footnotes (specific to Treasury). Furthermore, the manager will assist in research related to updated Treasury accounting guidance & any new projects with the potential to impact treasury accounting / financial statements.\nSupports External Reporting of Derivatives and Investments:\nPrepares the Derivatives and Market Risk footnotes & footnote tie-outs for 10 K/Q\nWorks with Treasury & External Reporting senior management to perform any necessary updates to Treasury footnotes based on updated guidance or new projects\nPrepares the Cash Flow Statement for Derivatives and Investments and works with External Reporting to ensure accurate reporting\nSupports the internal and external audits of Treasury risk areas\nResearch various technical accounting guidance\nPrepares monthly accounting entries:\nPrepares and validates journal entries various complex accounting areas (i.e., derivatives, intercompany loans, investments)\nWorks with Treasury systems to correct any system-related accounting errors\nThroughout the month, works with various regional treasury centers ensure accurate reporting of intercompany loans\nSupervises and Develops Others:\nDetermines employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans.\nProvides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.\nConducts performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement.\nHolds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.\nResolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.\nPreferences\nDemonstrates a broad business and accounting knowledge; describes methods in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)\nCaptures/documents specific and accurate information; learns subjects thoroughly and in detail; completes work with thoroughness; supplies appropriate details when requested; maintains organized files\nUnderstands basic financial terminology and concepts such as cash flows, operating profit/loss, and net income; conducts financial analyses\nBachelor’s degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Accounting\nCPA license preferred\nExperience supervising others\nOTHER CRITERIA\nEmployer will not sponsor visas for position.\nHybrid work schedule- required 3 days in office.\nEmployee Type:\nPermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.\nOther Criteria:\nUPS is an equal opportunity employer.
