The company wants one person who can own commercial HVAC estimating end-to-end - take-offs, pricing, bid packages - and become the internal authority on how they bid work.\nAs you learn their processes, the role expands to include project management support. That's the secondary half of the job, and it grows over time rather than starting on day one.\nTheir current project mix is hospitality - hotels, resorts, restaurants - plus office buildings. They are actively expanding into data centers, hospitals and medical facilities, government projects, and high-rise commercial.\nYou'll work directly with the leadership team, not through layers. This is a long-term hire.\nYour primary role: HVAC estimating\nThis is where you'll spend most of your time.\nPrepare complete estimates for commercial HVAC projects from drawings and specifications\nExecute detailed material and equipment take-offs - ductwork, sheet metal, air handling equipment, piping, insulation, hangers and accessories\nBuild labor pricing using U.S. labor rates and productivity factors\nSolicit, review and level subcontractor and vendor quotes\nAnalyze scopes of work, identify exclusions and qualifications, and flag scope gaps before they become change orders\nRaise RFIs and process addendums during the bid period\nAssemble and submit complete, competitive bid packages within deadline\nBuild and maintain the company's cost databases, estimating templates and standardized workflows\nConduct post-bid reviews to improve accuracy and margin over time\nYour secondary role: project management support\nOnce you're established in the estimating seat, you'll take on a growing share of this.\nPrepare and track submittals\nAssemble closeout documentation\nPlan management and document control\nSupport change order pricing and scope adjustments\nRequirements\nMechanical Engineering degree\nHands-on HVAC estimating experience - you have personally priced commercial HVAC scope: ductwork, sheet metal, equipment, piping, and the associated labor\nU.S. market experience - you've worked to U.S. codes, labor rates and estimating conventions\nAvailability to work full-time during U.S. business hours\nPlus:\nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience\nExperience on large commercial HVAC projects\nStrong Bluebeam skills\nExperience with Procore\nProfessional working English, written and spoken\nNice to have\nEngineering license (P.E. or local equivalent)\nPrevious experience supporting project management on commercial construction\nAutoCAD or Revit for light drafting and markups\nExperience in hospitality, data center, healthcare or government projects\nASHRAE or SMACNA familiarity\nStrong written communication -
