Uptempo is a leading marketing resource management SaaS company that empowers marketing teams to optimize their operations, improve efficiency, and drive business growth. We are looking for a Business Solutions Architect to join our amazing team and play a pivotal role in driving customer success through tailored solution design and architecture.
As a Business Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for understanding customer challenges and business objectives, then crafting scalable, efficient, and impactful solutions using Uptempo’s platform. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, customer-focused thinking, and strong communication skills to bridge the gap between our customers’ needs and our product’s capabilities.
One of the primary challenges for this role will be learning and mastering the Uptempo platform to effectively design and implement solutions that align with customer needs.
What you’ll do:
Partner with customers to understand their business goals and challenges, identifying how Uptempo’s platform can add value.
Design and implement scalable, flexible, and effective solutions, including integrations and customizations.
Gather and translate customer requirements into actionable functional specifications for development and deployment teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, support, and implementation teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Maintain strong relationships with customers by actively listening and demonstrating empathy toward their needs and challenges.
Document architectural decisions, requirements, and project scope for transparency and future scalability.
Proactively identify potential roadblocks and develop practical, efficient solutions.
Manage customer expectations and resolve conflicts to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Key attributes for success:
Domain knowledge: Expertises in marketing or marketing performance management, budget allocation, or marketing operations - ideally in enterprise or multi-brand contexts.
Customer-Focused Thinking: Ability to deeply understand customers' business needs and align solutions accordingly.
Solution Design and Architecture: Expertise in designing scalable and efficient solutions, including customizations and integrations.
Stakeholder Management: Strong relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external customers.
Requirements Gathering: Ability to translate customer needs into clear functional requirements.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Quick thinking and solution-oriented approach in dynamic environments.
Clear and Concise Communication: Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.

Skills and experience we’re excited about:
5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role driving business outcomes.
Strong marketing domain knowledge
Experience in SaaS professional services or solutions is highly preferred.
Strong technical acumen with experience in solution architecture, integrations, and system configurations.
Executive-level communication skills: you can simplify complex architectural transformation decisions for executive stakeholders.
Understanding of APIs integration first strategies with familiarity to middleware solutions such as Workato or Mulesoft
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple stakeholders and delivering impactful solutions.
