This role requires a mix of technical expertise, customer-focused thinking, and strong communication skills to bridge the gap between our customers’ needs and our product’s capabilities.\nOne of the primary challenges for this role will be learning and mastering the Uptempo platform to effectively design and implement solutions that align with customer needs.\nWhat you’ll do:\nPartner with customers to understand their business goals and challenges, identifying how Uptempo’s platform can add value.\n\nDesign and implement scalable, flexible, and effective solutions, including integrations and customizations.\n\nGather and translate customer requirements into actionable functional specifications for development and deployment teams.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, support, and implementation teams to ensure successful solution delivery.\n\nEffectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nMaintain strong relationships with customers by actively listening and demonstrating empathy toward their needs and challenges.\n\nDocument architectural decisions, requirements, and project scope for transparency and future scalability.\n\nProactively identify potential roadblocks and develop practical, efficient solutions.\n\nManage customer expectations and resolve conflicts to ensure high customer satisfaction.\n\nKey attributes for success:\nDomain knowledge: Expertises in marketing or marketing performance management, budget allocation, or marketing operations - ideally in enterprise or multi-brand contexts.\n\nCustomer-Focused Thinking: Ability to deeply understand customers' business needs and align solutions accordingly.\n\nSolution Design and Architecture: Expertise in designing scalable and efficient solutions, including customizations and integrations.\n\nStakeholder Management: Strong relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external customers.\n\nRequirements Gathering: Ability to translate customer needs into clear functional requirements.\n\nProblem-Solving Mindset: Quick thinking and solution-oriented approach in dynamic environments.\n\nClear and Concise Communication: Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.\n\nDocumentation Skills: Strong ability to maintain accurate and thorough project documentation.\n\nEmpathy & Active Listening: Understanding customer pain points and fostering strong relationships.\n\nConflict Resolution: Ability to balance customer expectations with product and business constraints effectively.\n\nFun & Team-Oriented Mindset: A positive attitude and ability to collaborate in a fun, energetic, and supportive team environment.\n\nSkills and experience we’re excited about:\n5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role driving business outcomes.\n\nStrong marketing domain knowledge\n\nExperience in SaaS professional services or solutions is highly preferred.\n\nStrong technical acumen with experience in solution architecture, integrations, and system configurations.\n\nExecutive-level communication skills: you can simplify complex architectural transformation decisions for executive stakeholders.\n\nUnderstanding of APIs integration first strategies with familiarity to middleware solutions such as Workato or Mulesoft\n\nProven track record of successfully managing multiple stakeholders and delivering impactful solutions.\n\nWhat you can expect from our interview process:\nIntroductory call with Talent Team (30 minutes)\n\nMeeting with Senior Director Professional Services (45 minutes)\n\nMeeting with Executive team and Senior Director of PS (45 minutes)\nSituational case study to be provided\n\nMeeting with PS team member (30 minutes)\n\nAbout Uptempo\nUptempo is on a mission to help marketers lead with confidence and love their jobs.
