You will work on data pipelines, APIs, and backend services that process large datasets using dataframes, Parquet, and Databricks, enabling analytics and visualization products at scale. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to data, cares deeply about performance and reliability, and can own backend systems end-to-end.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, implement, and maintain backend services and data pipelines using Python\nWork extensively with dataframes (Pandas, PySpark, or similar) to process large datasets\nBuild and optimize data pipelines using Parquet and columnar storage formats\nDevelop and maintain workflows on Databricks\nOptimize performance for large-scale, distributed data processing\nDesign and maintain APIs that support data-heavy applications\nCollaborate closely with front-end, data, and product teams\nEnsure data quality, reliability, and observability\nParticipate in architectural decisions and technical planning\nMentor other engineers and lead code reviews\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of backend or data engineering experience\nStrong proficiency in Python\nDeep experience with dataframes (Pandas, PySpark, Dask, or similar)\nHands-on experience with big data processing and distributed systems\nStrong experience working with Parquet and columnar data formats\nExperience using Databricks in production environments\nSolid understanding of data modeling, performance tuning, and memory optimization\nExperience building and maintaining APIs (REST and/or gRPC)\nStrong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills\nNice to Have\nExperience deploying and operating systems on AWS\nS3, EC2, EKS, Lambda, IAM, etc.\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)\nExperience with containerization and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments\nExperience with streaming systems (Kafka, Kinesis)\nBackground in analytics,
