The primary focus will be on enhancing our Ecommerceplatforms supporting the online shopping experience for our brands including Anthropologie.com,UrbanOutfitters.com, FreePeople.com, and ShopTerrain.com, developing customer facingapplications, and the ability to work with or in existing store brands.\nRole Responsibilities\nDesign and development of microservices and event driven systems\nDevelop new product features and advance the design of existing code for the Ecommerce applications\nHelp determine the requirements, then plan, design, and develop complex and business critical softwaresolutions\nDevelop functional designs while interacting with enterprise architects, developers, business partners aswell as end users\nLeverage AI coding agents across planning, implementation, and review, and take accountability for the correctness and quality of the resulting code\nReact to possible production issues\nEnjoys working in a collaborative team setting\nRole Qualifications\nQualifications\nUnderstanding of OO principles and design patterns\nAt least 3-5 years of software development experience\nExperience with related browser technologies including JSON, REST, HTML, AJAX, CSS\nSelf-starter, ready to learn new concepts and technologies. Willing to take on responsibility for newfeatures and develop them from inception to completion\nProficient in Python/Golang\nStrong understanding of RESTful services design\nStrong understanding of asynchronous message processing technologies\nStrong data modeling skills\nHands-on experience with an AI coding agent in a professional codebase (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)\nStrong communications skills - able to discuss complex technical problems with developers, QA andBSAs\nEnjoys working across teams and sharing knowledge with other engineers\nJob Skills\nFamiliarity with search solutions like Elastic Search, Solr\nDemonstrated expertise with Unit Testing frameworks and mocking libraries\nFamiliar with Django or other ORM frameworks\nExperience with Tornado/Flask or other web server technologies\nExperience with Vue.js or React or similar web frameworks\nExperience with any NoSQL DB\nExperience with RDBMS preferably postgres/cloud sql\nExperience authoring agent files and reusable skills, and connecting agents to real systems via CLI tools or MCP\nExposure to data science and Machine learning technologies\nUnderstanding of cloud hosting platforms and infrastructure\n#LI-MW3\nThe Perks\nURBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
